Callistemons commonly called bottlebrush plants because their foliage looks like a bottle brush are gorgeous and versatile native plants. This icon of the Australian home garden brings colour and native birds to the garden. They thrive in both warm and cooler temperatures. Once fully established, these plants are also fairly drought and frost tolerant, and do not get affected by pests or diseases, making this an extremely hardy and easy plant for your garden.

The 'Harkness' is a bushy shrub ideal as a screen or a hedge. This bottlebrush produces short deep red flower spikes for most of the year - from spring, through summer and autumn.
