Bismarckia nobilis (Bismarck Palm) is a stunning palm native to Madagascar that features a thick trunk and a broad, rounded crown of large, stiff, fan-shaped fronds. The foliage colour is the most striking aspect of this palm, ranging from silver-green to intensely steel-blue, depending on the variety. The contrast between the blue leaves and the brown trunk creates a striking visual effect in any landscape.

This palm is an evergreen plant that can grow up to 25 metres in height and 12 metres in width. It is dioecious, meaning that male and female flowers are borne on separate plants. The female flowers are followed by brown fruits that contain a single seed.
