Zamioculcas zamiifolia commonly called the ZZ plant is a is a rhizomatous perennial with thick and glossy green leaves. The ZZ plant is an indestructible plant and ideal for beginners or if you want a very low-maintenance plant. Furthermore, this plant is quite well tolerant of low light levels, making it an ideal plant for the office or any indoor area away from natural sunlight. We do recommend that you give it a couple of weeks of vacations to brighter lit areas every few months if you want to keep them in low light areas. The ZZ plant is very tolerant of neglect and can survive prolonged periods of not being watered. The slow-growing nature of this plant translates to a higher price tag; however, the ZZ plant is an exceptionally worthwhile investment because it will outsurvive most other plants and it looks gorgeous!
Caution: All parts of the ZZ plant are poisonous, and it is harmful if eaten and may irritate skin and eyes. Use gloves when handling the plant and keep away from animals and children.
