Licuala ramsayi (commonly called the Australian fan palm) is a gorgeous Australian native palm tree with leaves that grow very large and fan-shaped in mature plants. The Australian fan palm grows surprisingly tall to heights of about 20m tall. This is a plant that thrives in rainforest conditions. Younger plants are understory plants - requiring dappled sun to bright indirect sunlight, while the mature taller plants become adapted to full sun.
