Spathiphyllum belongs to the Araceae family of plants which are also known as the aroids. Spathiphyllums originate from tropical areas of the Americas and southern Asia. Some Spathiphyllum species are commonly called spath or peace lilies. These are evergreen, herbaceous perennials with large leaves with a length between 12-65 cm and a width between 3-25 cm. The flowers are grown in a flowering cluster called a spadix, which is typically surrounded by the characteristic white, yellowish, or greenish casing that surrounds the outer edge of the bunches of flowers. The peace lily can improve indoor air quality by absorbing pollutants such as ammonia, carbon monoxide, and formaldehyde. Peace lilies are also good for hydroponic growth, i.e., growing the plant in water. The Peace Lily is one of the easiest flowering houseplants to care of, requiring limited amounts of light, water, and care to grow. While the plant thrives in bright to moderate indirect sunlight, it can tolerate low light conditions making it an excellent choice for the office, bathroom, or any internal area away from a window. What a gorgeous tree!

My Fiddly Fig has finally decided to have it's last tantrum - nothing made it happy and all the research and care I put into it came to nothing. Of all my plants, it is the most demanding. I ordered the Banyan Tree and it's tall! The bark is a beautiful silver and the leaves are strong - it is such a healthy, majestic plant. Hopefully the fiddly fig ups its game now there's a contender for my affections in the house (but knowing the fiddly fig, it'll probably drop another leaf in protest). Thank you for such a healthy, beautiful plant, sorry, tree! :)
