The birds nest fern is the most popular fern in gardens. Its large, leathery leaves have the shape of a nest and can grow on tree trunks, rocks, or even on other ferns. Birds nest ferns are native to Australia and the South Pacific region. Asplenium australasicum grows as a shrubby plant, with a rosette of yellow-green fronds which are 60 to 80 cm long and 3 to 21 cm wide. It can be distinguished from ''A. nidus'' by its prominent midrib under its fronds, giving the fronds a keeled appearance. The spores form in parallel lines which run in parallel with the veins and oblique to the midrib

What a gorgeous tree!

My Fiddly Fig has finally decided to have it's last tantrum - nothing made it happy and all the research and care I put into it came to nothing. Of all my plants, it is the most demanding. I ordered the Banyan Tree and it's tall! The bark is a beautiful silver and the leaves are strong - it is such a healthy, majestic plant. Hopefully the fiddly fig ups its game now there's a contender for my affections in the house (but knowing the fiddly fig, it'll probably drop another leaf in protest). Thank you for such a healthy, beautiful plant, sorry, tree! :)

Happy Plant, Happy Customer
