Due to its spectacular display of vivid orange-scarlet balls of flowers that bloom profusely during the warmer months, Ixora 'Coral Fire' is a well-liked species of Ixora. Compared to certain other Ixora types, it is not as cold tender. Coral Fire works well as a hedge or border plant, either in a mass planting or on its own as a focal point in a container. It thrives in a humid, warm area and prefers full sun, however it will grow just as well in partial shade. Plant in a soil that is rich, moist, but also well-drained, and prune to keep a thick shape and form. For best results, springtime recommendations call for slow-release fertiliser.
