Callistemon salignus 'Little Jet' (Bottlebrush)
Callistemons commonly called bottlebrush plants because their foliage looks like a bottle brush are gorgeous and versatile native plants. This icon of the Australian home garden brings colour and native birds to the garden. They thrive in both warm and cooler temperatures. Once fully established, these plants are also fairly drought and frost tolerant, and generally do not get affected by pests or diseases, making this an extremely hardy and easy plant for your garden.
'Little Jet' is a dense and compact bottlebrush variety with lush green foliage and small red flowers hidden within the bush throughout spring. The new growth also has reddish hues during cooler months. This is a very hardy and low maintenance plant and makes an ideal hedge.
